“Marty” Alemán

MAN, PHN


Marty has been a member of the Rochester community since 1993. She worked at Olmsted County Public Health for 25 years, where she oversaw the school public health nurses and was involved in a number of community engagement and health promotion initiatives in the county. She currently is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Augsburg University, where she has taught community health nursing for almost 20 years. In addition to being a founding member of CPFHR, she is the Chair of the Consulting group for the Good Samaritan Health Clinic and has been a member of the Mayo Community Engaged Research Advisory Board. Marty has a long-term commitment to working with marginalized members of our community with a particular focus on issues facing children, adolescents and their families. She is married with 3 grown children and 1 beautiful granddaughter, and enjoys travelling whenever possible.
